Coolant temp sensor goes on

Hi
My car after 10 minutes or so the coolant temp alarm start and the temperature start raising. I already change the thermostat.
What can be the problem? Can it be the water pump or is the sensor?
Please help me here.
Thanks

since you removed the ast, you mostlikely have airbubbles from removing it. that will cause the alarm to go off.

you might also want to check the connection, one time i had that problem, after driving home 2 hrs from pa, realized the wire was stripped.

So you think by burping the system should be good? Is not the water pump?
