Coolant seal?
So, let me go down the list:
- My car has been over heating after about 200 - 250 miles of drive.
- After being driven without over heating and left to cool down ( for about a 1 or 2 days), when I remove the radiator cap, coolant come out because the system is still pressurized.
- When I leave the cap off and start the engine, the coolant slowly raises and when given throttle, the coolant level drops and comes back up once off throttle with some air bubbles, but not a steady stem of them.
- When I start the car after sitting for a little, I get some fluid that comes out of the tail pipe.
- When it over heats, the OF tank is full.
I talked to some of my friends and they said that it may be a water pump issue, but none of them are rotary engine people. So, I am asking you, does this sound like a coolant seal issue? I hope not because then I have to deal with rx7store to back up there warranty.
Thanks

Yeap, I'm afraid that you've got a cracked broken seal. My friend had the same symptoms and now he's got his engine waiting for a whole rebuilt
Good luck ! I hope that i'm wrong.

Water spitting from the exhaust is actually normal, in many cases some condensation gets pushed out on startup.
I would go for a hydrocarbon test to confirm the bubbles in the coolant are from the engine. But the overheating and rising/falling coolant are a pretty good indication your coolant seals are damaged and maybe your housings are warped.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to get a pressure test to see for sure at some time. I really hope my housing isn't warped.
