The neck and the reservoir are two seperate pieces. If there is a leak in the coolant system, there is not enough vacuum to draw back the coolant from the overflow tank, then the coolant will be pushed up and leak through the connection. This might be what you are talking about. If not, it's not too hard to replace the overflow reservoir, you need to access it from the wheel well.

Fingers crossed.
The "leak" he is talking about is the one you were originally asking about. If coolant is coming out from the resevoir neck were it meets the tank you probably have air bubbles in the coolant. That is not supposed to be a sealed area. Coolant is supposed to be able to run out there that is why it is called the "overflow tank" So by you sealing it you did not fix your problem. You are only masking it. You still need to burp you coolant system. If you dont know how to do this you can probably go to Lightning in a world of thunder or Robinettes site
