the run was working fine when i had it all stock for smog. but when I put all my aftermarket parts on the coolant light and buzzer wouldnt turn off. i add a v mount ic/rad, greddy pulleys,re intake and down-mid-cat back piping. im thinking that i need a stronger coolant cap. but i dont know. what do you think?

 

Huh?? It means your coolant level is low enough to sound the buzzer. Stop driving it and find out where it's leaking from first.

 

o noo0o! no leaks at all. its filled to the top. the buzzer stays on as soon as i start up.

Ok, here's something that might help you out. If the coolant level sensor is unplugged or has a split in the wire it WILL make the buzzer/light come on.

This sensor and wire are located about 8 inches below your coolant filler neck, and it's facing the front of the car.

 

try a new coolant level sensor

 

did you make sure the you plugged in in stupid question maybe but i would check

 

its plugged in. the wire is showing. i wonder if i could ground the wire to make sure if its the senor.

 

Do you own a voltmeter or have access to one? Look up the procedure for adjusting and checking TPS voltage. You could use the same method (voltmeter and safety pin) to check to see if you are getting power at the coolant level harness.

And make sure the key is turned to the on position (without the engine running) when you go to do this, the buzzer/light will work even with the engine off when you are low on coolant, just give it 30 seconds or so and it will come on.
