coolant leak by turbos or dp?

ok, so i was comin out of my development today. got on it in first then second. i look behind me and the road is covered in smoke. wtf.. i get on it again to see if it still has power, none. pull over. the hose that is supposed to hook from the y pipe to airbox has come off. i figured that, cause it happened saturday too. but thats not all. theres coolant everywhere. and smoke is pouring out from the turbo area. the coolant was all over the intake hardpipes, and crossover pipe. while i was waiting for a tow i tried putting more water in it. and it was coming out in a few streams over near the passenger front tire. i have a koyo rad stood up with fmic. so i could see the upper and lower coolant hoses, they were fine. i guess my question is what could be leaking down there possibly onto the downpipe or turbos? i'm thinkin coolant poured onto the hot downpipe to make that smoke. i just dont know from where. like always, any help would be appeciated.

Do a search for "turbo coolant lines". One of yours is bad.

I have the mazda replacements in the original package sitting on a shelf. If anybody wants them I'll sell them for 10% off Malloy's price.

I like to use fuel injection hose when I can because it's much tougher. Problem is it's not preformed so I'm not sure if it will work on that short, curved line. I'm just in the habit of replacing mine every year or so. They're only like $5 apiece.

I dont think that you need a pre formed coolant hose. I didnt use them and I didnt have and problems with kinks. I just replaced mine with normal coolant line hose from the auto store. While your there replace the lower hose too. Im sure its on its way out as well.

The part numbers are N3A1-13-54x and N3A1-13-53x. About $6 each from Mazda Motorsports. Just replaced mine last weekend. I don't think you can change the lower hose without pulling off the turbo. I had the Y-pipe, exension manifold and downpipe off and I couldn't even see it!

It can easily be done. All you need to remove is the airbox, airpump and crossover tube. After that needle nose pliers are all you need. If you actually needed to remove that hardline you'd need the turbos off to access the banjo bolts though.

That's the one I did change, you're right, it wasn't hard. The one I couldn't see is the 90 degree bend one, it seems to be stuck in between the second turbo and the engine.

It is, but still accessable with needle nose pliers. The engine side is easy to reach, remove it first. Then reach back with the pliers and remove the small clamp on the other end and pull the hose off. I change mine often like I said and this is all you have to do to reach both of them.

Fuel injection hose works. I did a bandaid fix with it when one of my turbo coolant hose went last year and my local Mazda dealer had to order the parts. Still have it installed, although I will install the OEM hoses this summer when I do both turbo coolant hoses.
