is this coolant leak a serious problem

on my 93, the rubber hose that connects the two intercooler pipes on the top of the engine in the front is cracked( it's about 3 in in diameter and 3 inches long with two clamps holding it tight. anyway i know i am getting a boost leak out of it so i took it off and epoxyd the cracks and put it back on the next day(today) i started it up cold and went in the house for about a half hour. i came back out and there was about 6ounces of coolant that had leaked out and i lifted the hood and the hose i epoxyd was split again. what the hell could this be? i'm taking her to aim tuning in indianapolis tomorrow. i just wanted some opinions. thanks

If anything, replace the hose that has the split in it. Anything that is split, and sealed on the outside, still has the split inside of the hose (and will gradually get bigger as fluids are pressurized through the inside. Just replace the hose in question, as opposed to having the hose split while driving, and needing a costly rebuild, instead of a 20 dollar hose, if that.

Yes like RedR1 said, replace now insted of replacing when your putting a rebuild in.

First of all, yeah, you need to get that I/C pipe fixed right.....
Secondly, did you notice the coolant from the right front area, underneath the car? If so, this is likely from the overflow. My FD doesn't like to idle in the drive either, it will lose some coolant like this too, occasionally.
That entire coolant recovery system is sort of funky, what with the AST and all that.....I wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye on it for a while, and keep the system topped off and air-bled.
