Coolant leak on driver side of car!!!! anybody know where it could be coming from?

Well i have been noticing coolant on the ground on the driver side of my car. I see drops right behined the oil pan on the driver side of the car, anybody know where it's coming from? I check my filler neck every morning and the coolant is full at the filler neck, and also full at the overflow tank. So where the hell could this leak be? I guess i can still drive the car right? because the coolant is full in the filler neck and the overflow. But I want to stop this leak, my driveway is starting to look like a mess!!!

It is impossible for you to be losing coolant and not have your level drop... you're sure its coolant, right? Anyway, the leak might be one of the hoses that goes to the throttle body. That would be in the area that you describe, on the driver's side.

Is it behind your oil pan or pretty much right at the oil pan?

It could be your engine block leaking coolant from it's plug.

Here's a link to an image of the coolant plug on the engine block (thank Skunks for the image):

There are three coolant hoses on the driver's side. One goes from the rear cover near the intake manifold to the top of the throttle body. A short one goes from the bottom of the throttle body to a metal hard line by the coils. A third goes from the area near the firewall to the motor just under the oil filter, right behind the oil pressure sensor.

I do not know. I just changed to Evan's, which required a lot of flushing, and I became very familiar with that plug on my FD.

It looks like there is:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ock+drain+plug

And you can see what I searched for in the URL (engine block drain plug).

And you learn something new everyday, and I learned that other generation RX7s have the block plug (at least the 2nd gen).

Had somewhat the same problem. I was replacing my clutch recently and noticed coolant dripping (slowly) off of my oil pan at the rear. Traced it back, to front driver's side of engine and from somewhere up above. Couldn't find source even with small dental mirror and flashlight (damm -- things are tight in there!)

Since I was changing clutch and car was down, decided to start pulling off stuff until I found leak. Ended up pulling off water pump and water pump housing. I found staining (dried up antifreeze/water marks) from the bottom of the water pump housing where it mates with engine block.

So, replaced water pump housing gaskets, replaced water pump and thermostat while I had it apart and leak is gone, water level is fine after purging several times.
