Coolant leak @ Driverside front, weep hole?
I noticed my car using coolant, not much, just had to keep checking/adding it. I tracked down the leak, appears to be running down the front driverside of the engine. Best I can tell, it is originating from the area under/behind that side of the waterpump. Is there a weep hole back there or is this probably a gasket? Any hose's back there I cant see? Would appreciate any insight on this, TIA.

There is a weephole on the water pump that signifies your pump is on its last legs. If it is indeed coming from the weephole, get ready to replace the water pump.

Not sure where the weep hole is on the RX-7, I know most of them are in the bearing/neck area. This seems to be leaking from the back, against the motor. Unless the weephole is in that area for the rx? Guess I will have to pull it all apart and find out for sure.

Well after getting a small mirror up under the water pump, I noticed it was leaking out of the back gasket area, where the two passages are into the block. I checked the bolts with a torque wrench, they needed tightened. Hopefully this will stop the leak, will have to check in the morning.

Did you ever get this fixed? My car seems to be having the same problem, a slow, but enough to drive me nuts drip of coolant coming from the water pump area. I thought it might be the coolant line from behind the alternator, but it was clean. Let me know,
