Cool engine bay...what about no hood at all!

Okay, so everyone wants a "cool engine" bay...right? Has any smarta**es ever decided to forgo looks and go straight to no hood at all! I'm sure it breaks laws in 49 of 50 states...who the hell owns an FD in alaska! But what the hey, I thought it would be interesting to ask.

I've seen some damn fine examples in the south such as TN where I use to live. These fine FORD trucks with a gun rack in the window with a confederate flag for a lic plate and an old coon hound in the bed have no hood at all. It seems these guys know what the hell they are doing. In fact, I saw one guy really pushing the envelope with no hood and no grill or bumper...damn that guy probably dropped 100 lbs from his truck and the engine bay is running cool. Hell, I even forgave the deer head impaled on the radiator as a sweet "trail modification".

Forget the 99J bumper and hood. I'm taking it all off and going totally "road warrior"!!!!!!!

Removing the entire drivetrain will also save you a LOT of weight. Just cut a hole in the floorpan, and you can propel yourself Flintstone style :p

...YEAH BABY !!!

and for those people are wonderin': "who can make my doors swing up like a lambo????"..............hell, forget the doors -- it's just more unnecessary weight ....GO JEEP-STYLE BABY !!!!

....and so that the air will flow straight thru, get rid of the rear hatch, too !!

....and if you wear a full-faced helmet (to keep the bugs out of your teeth ), you could get rid of the windshield, too

....oh, this is gettin' FUN

I know here in Texas it is not illegal to drive without a hood. Since you're gonna **** with the aerodynamics go ahead and remove the front winshield (not illegal) but leave the "windshield"wipers(illegal).

To save more weight, just take out the seats but leave the seatbelts. You can drive without a seat but you have to have your "seat"belt on.

About a month ago on I-40 I saw an IROC Camaro with no hood doing interstate speeds ... I also heard a very high-pitched whine coming from it, which was immediately followed by a very vocal "HOLY ****!!" from my mouth.
