confused about AT to MT wiring

confused about AT to MT wiring

theres all this talk about wiring everything and i'm getting confused.

i have the manual tranny and engine harness can i just put that onto an automatic engine then plug it into a manual ecu? or am i going to run into some problem?

the auto harness clips will fit the manual tranny. The only harness that will need to be modified is the auto tranny shifter harness. That harness affects the clutch pedal switch and reverse lights. once wired correctly you are good.

I actually did this last night. I used a manual trans wring harness for the engine and the tranny. The issue lies with the X-05 and X-14 connectors, which are different depending on the tranny. What you have to do is take the wires out of the manual harness and pin them into the auto version of the connectors, which will create a, "plug and play" type setup. I followed the steps from the link below and it fired right up.
