Unhappy computer board chip missing!!!????

well lets start off with this missing resistor on the ecu board.... it is located on the 2nd from the bottom( if the ecu was still in the car) connectior and 2nd from the bottom in the first row of resistors- inside the casing.. the numbering for it is c943....... and heres another on the o2 sensors wire(black) is spliced with the white wire from the same connector going into the ecu.... this splice was done cheaply with just bare wire.... on my wire this is a 2nd insulation that is gray about 4 - 5 inches up both wires where the splice is made.

also so what would have to happen for the computer to be a remanufactured unit n3a4 18 881r?? and im not sure if this is anything but inside the ecu the a chip 28 pin that has a sticker on it with the numbers 079753-2300...

my car is an auto so i dont know if anything changes with the wires im talking about.... and one last thing for right now the is also a loose connector -- black wire with yellow strip-- the connection for this wire looks like the same type used for speakers-- and its the female end..

if anyone can help thanx

What led you to open up the ECU and start looking for missing parts? If you're looking for help in fixing a problem with your car, describing the symptoms you're having is the best place to start.

well i was just installing an air/fuel gauge when i noticed that i had a remanufactured ecu... i know the engine is a reman but wasnt sure why the ecu would be.
plus me and some of my friends have some electric knowlegde of boards and chips. nothing is really wrong with the car... just became interested when i started seeing spliced wires and open connections

i havent restarted the car yet will probably happen this weekend. im not really to concern with it because of the fact that car did run fine before took anything out and the was piece missing when i opened it and the wasnt anything boucing inside. what im intersted in finding out is what does that feed in or out of the computer...
