compressor surge at idle?

Im still trying to work out the kinks in my twin t04e setup, Im not sure what the hell is causing the issue, but if I hook up everything tight and start the car the turbos are actually spinning the opposite direction and pushing air out through the intake inlets on the turbo. When I take the Tial BOV off, or the greddy elbow off the car turbos spin properly and seem to operate fine. I think this may also be the cause of my 1000-1500rpm idle bounce but it also may not be, Any ideas?

This should be in the single turbo forum.

basically it seems that when I take the greddy elbow off I can feel the air pumping through the pipes and thats when and the turbos suck air properly, then I attach the elbow they start to push air through the intake, im so lost im confused. they arent actually spinning the other way but they definetely are blowing air through the intake inlet when its all hooked up

i had a similar problem with a twin tdo5 problem on my FC. i ironed out most of the surging at idle by having it properly tuned (ignition timing mostly). Eventually the turbos killed themselves by undoing the front compressor nuts and in the process cutting up the compressor housing and wheel. Oh and the bearings were screwed. The problem was thought to be the exhaust side of the turbo being too small or mismatched.

your BOV should be in bypass mode at idle, your BOV is not adjusted properly or is incorrect for your setup
