A new good condition engine should be around 100 psi... so yours is pretty damn good

curiousity...

What's a good number for a stock '82?

With a somewhat messed up gauge(about +25 from 0) I was getting a reading front & rear of 149. I figure if the gauge was still working correctly and just had a bad 0 that means I'm getting about 124...

Just curious,

Actually, the MINIMUM compression for an FD is 100 psi. This is supposed to be measured at 250 rpm at 0 elevation. There are correction factors for different cranking speeds and elevations. Assuming the rpm and elevation are correct, 90 is a bit low but you should have six numbers. If they are all close to 90, I wouldn't worry about it. Your cooling seals will likely go out first.
