Compliments to the FD
a good one this weekend...
Just put the coilovers on the FD, male friend of mine takes it for a test drive, drove into a grocery store parking lot, we get out, the attendent says, "thats a nice car man" to my friend, friend says, "...its not mine, it's hers."
Guy was a little speechless. =D

most people just complain that my car smells like gas and that the wastegate hurts their ears. i have had a couple people literally put their hands up and bow to me after a quick highway pull. Thats always amusing 
i agree on the sausage fest. i've had all sorts of young guys chase me down to check out the car. i've also walked out of a restaurant or mall and see people taking pictures with my car...kind weird. as for girls, i've been with the same girl since i bought the car and am now married to her so not sure how much it helps with that.
on the other hand, i've also had people spit and leave crap on my car. amazed at how people can't respect other people's property.

oh and dont no if this is considered as a compliment but when i stop at lights, and random ppl in their ( civics, beat up imprezas, integras, you name it) would check out my car then look at me and nod their head, so i tend to nod back at them without even lookin at their car, unless it was a MKIV or somethin, then i probably woulda checked out their car first :P
oh rite, one day i was comin home from work, this 07 shelby gt500 pulled up to me and said nice car, so i replied you too, then he replies: yea, mines got 600 HP, ( even tho the gt500 only has 540 and thats BHP)
so i replied: wow thats fast! ( tho i was gigglin in my head), he then looks foward at the straight non traffic road and gased it, his wheels were skiddin for about 2 seconds and i instantly thought in my head ( oh hell no, this guy who doesnt no **** about cars, let alone his car did not just taunt me) so i instantly gased it too, when he caught traction, my turbos already spooled up ( luckily i was in 2nd gear crusin at 50 KMPH)
he pulled away from me about 10 meters ahead (freakin SC v8s wat u expect) and about 2 seconds later, i zoomed by and left a smile, and a big cloud of smoke from my mulffer when i shifted and made a loud poping noise

i left a note in a guys FD once askign if he was lookin at selling it, i got a text about 20 minutes later saying its not for sale :P

crazy update! i took my fd out to longbeach li where i live and stopped in a starbucks for some coffee.. upon pulling up in a spot i noticed a car with a few teenage girls just staring at my fd.. one of them shouts "hot car!.. another asked how old i was? so i just ignored it and parked FAR away form them.. anyway upon coming back to the car i noticed someone left a THONG on my windshield with a note saying to call me!.. Im like WTF what a *****!.. crazy ****..

I just get a few compliments now and again, usually when I take it to a garage or other car type place. They also tend to tell me I have the 'real' one ....referring to the RX8
And for randomness I was waiting at some lights and noticed a bike coming through the gaps in the traffic and the guy just lent in and said 'awesome car!', don't know much about bikes so no idea which it was.

So I was at Lowe's last night pricing some lumber with my roommate and I hear this over the intercom...
"Would the owner of the red Mazda RX7 please come to the customer service counter?"
I typically park far from everyone else, so my first thought...somebody hit my car! As I ran toward the service counter, I noticed several Lowe's employees waiting for me...My next thought...fu*K#*g Lowe's people ran something into my car. But it turns out they saw my car in the lot and just wanted to meet me to talk about the car! How exciting...
Interesting note...the Lowe's guys all complimented on how my car looks totally stock and I should keep it that way. I usually only hear about how I should slap on a huge BOV, single turbo, bigger spolier, etc.
ps the car is pretty much stock with the exception of some gauges and a downpipe.

Lol i posted in this thread already but, i was out playing street roller hockey the other night in a school parking lot.. in the middle of the game a car pulls up and this kid just starts drooling over the car asking all these questions and stuff... it was kind of an inconvenient time.. but i was flattered nontheless.
