Question complications of replacing metal sunroof with glass...

I wanted to put a glass moonroof in my 94... I currently have a metal one. My question was if theres any difference in the motors and what not. Is there anything that I need to get other than the glass itself. Beyond pressing the button I have no idea how the sunroof works. Thanks in advance.

Beside the expense of buying an OEM glass sunroof (and I'll bet they are damned expensive) - are you sure you want a glass sunroof - in FLORIDA?

The glass sunroof is heavily tinted so it doesn't let that much light through. You can also put the plastic blocker in so no light gets through if you really want to.

Going back to the original question, the mechanisms are identical. You just take off 4 bolts and drop the glass roof in. Besides the glass panel, I'd also recommend getting the 3 interior trim pieces that go around the glass so that it looks nice. You may want to try looking around and finding a used one. They're out there but not that common plus you'd save over dealers prices. Thats what I ended up doing when I swapped my metal panel with glass.
