Cold start stalling...searched with no luck

Ok, so I searched the threads...found issues similar to mine but then turned out to be a lot different. 94 FD with 96K miles and 20K miles on rebuilt motor. Has a PFC and all maintanence is up to date. I have new sparkplugs. Rarely driven hard and driven maybe twice a week.
On cold starts, it starts up fine to around 2000 rpms then the idle goes all the way down while backfiring a little and it stalls (sometimes the idle will bob like it is trying to get the idle back up but doesnt succeed). I then start it again and it starts fine and idles fine and then drives fine. No issues after the second startup. Everything is fine except for that first start when it is cold. I read a lot of issues on here that deal with the TPS and throttle body dashpot.
Any ideas?

Do you still have the fast idle startup?

No, idle warm is 750+-, but every time lately she stalls on first crank if car is cold, fine on second crank. May just need map correction or the dashpot is sticking. Going to try today to correct plus a few other problems before sigma tomorrow.
Just saw this thread and decided to post just in case my hunch is not correct.
