Coilpacks interchangeable between 93-95?

Hi there,

I am in the process of doing a complete overhaul on the ignition system on my FD and a big component looks to be failing. The Coilpacks seem to be on their last, last leg. To complete the ignition overhaul, I am planning on purchasing the HKS Twin Power + Harness, New Wires and new coil packs. I just changed the Spark plugs on them 1 day ago, so I'm not concerned with that for now.

Theres a private seller on here selling a 1994 OEM Coil Packs. Looking through the major rotary shops, they have them listed as the same for all years, however, I was wondering if anyone can confirm first hand that they work.

Don't want to buy these and then end up having the wrong harness or connections.

Any and all help is very much appreciated.

If they are the same part no's, they are the same. Several Mazda dealers list part no's online as well, such as Jim Ellis Mazda Parts (Mazda Genuine Parts & Accessories | Jim Ellis Mazda). The FSM also details process for checking the coils, G-21. You should probably check the igniter as well

Yes, should be able to find through Google. There are several. Besides the electrical manual, you'll want both the '93 and '94 service manuals. They give a little different information. The '93 provides some explanation on how things work and the '94 provides better details
