Are plug wires from a FC TII different than from a regular FC? I'm thinking of getting some NGKs, but they seem to have only one type listed for the 86-91, and I'm wondering if I should be looking for something else.

Cool.

For some reason Ultra (the brand that Racing Beat sells) has NA wires and turbo wires for the FC with a $30 difference in price or something like that...thus the slighty confusion.

The coils and engines are all oriented the same way. For some reason, mazda put a little bracket on the front rotorhousing of the t2 to hold the 4 plugwires over out of the way...as if it mattered, with the TMIC in the way. So in reality, by the book, t2 wires may be a couple inches longer than NA wires, which were just ziptied together and left to dangle wherever they wanted to. Obviously you can use whichever ones you want.

I just scrolled thru the pages.. Wondering if the stock wires will reach?? And do you have pics with the wires hooked up?? I currently have my cruise and HKS twin power in that place.

Absolutely no way stock wires would reach...not even halfway. They're only 12" or so long. You'd have to use 2nd gen wires...which are the exact same thing, btw, just with longer leads. They say FC ignitions are better than FD.

My concern is with the coil wiring harness and not the spark plug wires. Is any wiring harness splicing necessary to extend the harness to reach the coils?
I might be interested.
Regards
Crispy

Really?? Thats hard to believe?? I thought shorter and thicker wires are better for current.. I'm little rusty on my physics..

He is talking ignitions not wires... I doubt you would find any current loss in cables that are 6-10 inches longer. At least nothing that we would notice.

Happy birthday then. I wanna see some pics too.
It looks sorta difficult to bolt the bracket and top piece on with the coils there, is it?

Well, the wires are probably better in shorter and thicker...but the coils on teh FC are said to be slightly superior.

They probably made the FD coils a little weaker than the FC versions for size reasons...and made up for that with short cables.

I wonder if this is actually a downgrade from stock, running long wires on the stock FD coils? I'd like to run FC coils at some point anyway, so I might look into that.
