coil problem?
so i have a little problem, among the fire in my engine bay i have run across a few other problems.
the first of which is this
there seams to be a buildup of something inside the holes there and one wouldnt even let me pull out the plug wire without wrecking it, as you can see it is also cracked. also where would i get a new one

i am also wondering when rewrapping my engine harness what temperature resistance of split loom should i get, i have 200 F or 93 C but i am not sure that is enough to not melt

You need a new coil. It is common to see residue when the coil begins to go bad. The post is also cracked and it looks like part of the spark plug wire is still stuck in there. From the looks of the other coils, the engine harness, and ignition harness it would be wise to replace everything.
I put the coils under the steering columm on a plate . The sec gen leading coil is higher output and will last longer, plus cost less .Then you will not need to replace the connector .The sec gen coil uses two eyelets . The plates can be delivered in two styles ,one for all stock coils and one for stock trailing coils and the sec gen leading . this gets the coils out of the engine heat and the plug wires are shorter, less resistence .
