Clutch's sound?

Hi,
I turn on my car at idle . When I press the Clutch pedal, the sound from the engine bay will disappear. When I release the clutch pedal, I will hear the sound again. Is it normal? What 's this sound for?

I have the the same thing happen when i start my car. I believe that it is normal. It goes away after a little driving, and when you press the clutch in the noise goes away.

First thing to check is the tranny fluid level. You can get all kinds of weird sounds if it isn't properly filled.
