Clutches!!!

I have noticed several posts lately concerning clutches, and I am also looking to get a new clutch soon. I think it would be useful to sum up all of the info in one thread that considers the different options in regards to clutches. Please help post info on different clutches. Thanks in advance.

1. brands
2. applications (street, race)
3. cost
4. performance
5. personal experiences

ACT street/strip clutch is what I have use to have in my car. It works great and rated to 402 ft/lbs of torque. It has an upgraded street disk with heavy duty pressure plate defintely adequate for street use and occasional track use. $479 for the clutch not bad.

Not any more. I called ray at www.SRX7.com and the new price is $570. They have gone up in the past year. I am considering a clutchmasters clutch now.

I carry the ACT for $479 at the RX-7 Store. www.rx7store.net
I also carry clutch masters if your interested in that, but ACT is by far the most popular.
