clutch trouble

Well yesterday my clutched died
When i press the pedal to the floor it stays there
and dosnt come up.
Also, it wont get into gear when its down either.

Is this a master cylinder or the release cylinder
where is the master cylinder at? right beside and attached to the firewall?

dont really feel like taking the transmission plate off and seeing if the pressure plate is being worked any other way?

Had the same problem once...although I was able to grab the pedal and pull it back up. Worked fine a couple of times, eventually it got really bad.

Anyway, it wasn't the clutch itself but the clutch master cylinder. It's under the brake master cylinder against the firewall, shares the same resorvoir as the brake master. Btw, you might want to change the slave cylinder on the tranny at the same time, some folks say that if one goes bad the other should soon as well.

yea i could pull it up too
so i guess il be changing a master and slave pretty soon
