Clutch repair.

Ok so I take it to clutch wizard. They tell me i need a new clutch new flywheel and new motor mounts. they say 975 to do clutch. They are looking for a flywheel right now which they said cost 600. ANd they also say the motor mounts are 200 each. What should i do? Does this sound right i 'm going down there in a minute to see. They said my engien was just kinda floating around in there.

How are we supposed to tell you what to do, is the car in front of us? You took it somewhere, they gave you an estimate. If you don't trust them, take it elsewhere. The prices are about right for OEM parts.

If you want some advice, I would take the car to one of the few good rotary shops in the Bay Area. Then you'll know the job is done right and you won't be getting ripped off.

If it's not your daily driver try it yourself. There lots aftermarket parts that would be stronger for future applications and are comparible in price. Hell find someone in your area from the forum with some skills and work something out. That would be my plan. Oh yeah if your motor mounts are shot send them to gotham racing and they with replace them with urethane which will be stronger.

I just want to make sure im not getting screwed casue 975 for a new clutch installed seems expansive. ANd i thought you guys might have had similar repairs done, I went to visit my car today. Seems the motor mounts are broken. Clutch wizard says 290 each for motor mounts. + flywheel 375( refurbished). 2300 all together. He seems like a really honest person. Now i know why old people dirive so slow. O and yes its my daily drive, we deliver pizza together five days a week.

Wooooooooooooooo Hooooooooooo the pizza guy. Price is about right including labor. If your not beating the car the motor mounts can wait (drives side needs to be done ASAP) you can find flywheels on the parts for sale section really cheap just get pictures of it for condition as people are going to lightened ones all the time not tomention all the blown motor parts around. I'm guessing your in a time constraint since it's your daily. You can even find used motor mounts for sale (same section) for less than $100 both sides if you look around. Jack

I think the price is very high. If the flywheel is salvageable, you can get it turned. Motor mounts can be bought cheaper. Do it yourself.
