clutch release cylinder??

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/Huero/1105.jpg
I am trying to install CMC back in my transmission but push rod wont go in all the way for me to bolt it in.
Do I have to bleed the unit in order for the push rod to compress?
Any advice would help.

stepped on the clutch with the slave off huh? open the bleeder screw on the slave and the piston should go in easy. if not you may have to pop off the rubber outside boot and push the cup back in the bore. not a big prob.

Disconnect the clutch line from the reservoir. This will stop the pressure so you can bolt up the slave cylinder easier. Once connected, bleed the clutch.
