clutch problem.....

my clutch is starting to smell if i do any hard launches on it when its HOT. now its starting to grind a little going into 2nd and 3rd gear....

would it be my clutch??

If the grind is related, it might be the clutch hydraulics or the slave cylinder coming loose from the bell housing. Has the friction point changed at all (i.e. does the clutch start to engage at a different point on the clutch pedal travel)? Check your brake fluid reservoir to see if you are losing fluid, and check the clutch hose (on the firewall behind the throttle body to make sure it isn't leaking. That hose had been known to fail sometimes.
