ok guys,I've been searching for quite a while but really haven't found a solid answer.When I turn on the car and let the clutch pedal out,it sounds like the throwout bearing is bad,which I have a new one already.I took the car out for a spin a few days ago and the pedal stayed on the floor,and had to pump it to get it back,but felt like it was going to do it again which it did.Now,if I ride the clutch a bit while reversing into the garage,I hear grinding between the clutch and plate,and that can't be normal,right?Im also looking into an act clutch but also wanted to know if I can install THAT clutch with the stock plate.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the release bearing is comming off the ring.

Maybe the ring is bent and not holding onto the release bearing all the time.



Have a look through the inspection plate.

Maybe your release fork has failed. BTW, was there a recall on the forks?

 

ok,ill have a look and see what shows.Also(after watching the video,thanks btw)would the clutch sometimes work if that ring is lose/bent or just stop working altogether?And since im for the most part going to end up taking this thing apart,would the act clutch(6 spoke) work with the stock pressure plate?
