Clutch issue - please advise.
Recently fixed my secondary boost issue, however after a couple of runs with full boost, my clutch started slipping around peak torque in high gears. This problem got progressively worse and started slipping lower in the revs throughout the day. Awful smell of burning clutch.
Now, before this I just replaced my stock (worn) clutch disk with a racing beat street from mazdatrix. Still using the stock PP. During initial run in (just rebuilt my engine with 55k miles) the clutch was biting fine although I wasn't boosting at the time. First sign of secondary boost after 1000km's on new clutch disk and stock PP and its slipping.
I reckon it has to be the pressure plate - hoping some of the knowledgable guys would chime in on this?

Do you notice any damage to your stock pressure plate ??
If it has over 100k miles on it, you may consider a replacing it even if it appears fine. I have a stock Mazda pressure plate with only 5000 miles on it, if you're considering replacing that part to eliminate that possibility. PM me if you're interested.

the stock pressure plate can JUST handle the stock power anything over that and you need something with more force. When I replaced my clutch the stcok disk had plenty of material left on it--just couldn't handle any extra power. Upgrade to a stronger PP and u should be fine.
