I think I may have found out why this EXEDY setup is going for $268 on ebay. I just talked with the guy at AIMCO clutch, and he in somewhat broken english said that EXEDY is the company that makes the OEM clutches for Mazda. Make sense?

I noticed in picture that it says EXEDY on the box, and also Daiken.

Anyways, I have my ACT S/S on order as well as the RB 9.5lb flywheel. Yippee, I'm a grand poorer.

In my post I only stated the Street/Strip since that was the clutch being discussed in the original post. ACT only offers a stock organic clutch disc in the S/S (model #HD01), the only thing different is the pressure plate. For comparison purposes, the similarly priced Exedy gives several options for clutch discs (namely organic, and cerumetallic)

It's obvious that 4 and 6 puck clutches are not going to use stock discs. They are also not very streetable. I believe the original topic of discussion was regarding the street clutches...
