Clutch Bad?

I was driving home from my last auto x event, and the car was acting up. When I give it any boost, the car revs, but doesn't pick up and go. Then it catches. Can't reach full boost like this? I smelled a nasty sort of burning smell, too. I believe my clutch has met it's doom, but since this has never happened before I'd figure I'd ask. Has it had it?

sounds like a dead clutch or related part(pressure plate and or flywheel) I'm at the same stage now where I can drive it if I have to but very easy on the throttle. I'm waiting to install a new clutch.

Probably clutch. Is it worse when its cold? Mine did that, was slipping when cold, then when it warmed up it actually started catching. Then finally after being soft on it for about a month it was toast. Find a hill, if its worse on a hill then that is a sure sign of a clutch. Sounds like you need a new one now. Good luck.

Mine was a stocker. Lasted 59K miles. Launching on slicks at auto x apparently did her in.
