Question Clutch

I just recently had my clutch replaced to a Bonez street/comp. Some one told me that holdng the clutch pedal down while not driving like at a red light is bad. Is this true and why? I figured since it not touching the flywheel it would matter right. Well if you can give some info on the clutch, so that i don't mess this one up. Thanks.
