Clogged Catback?
Recently I have got my car runnin really well. I have it running sequential on the stock twins. Its hitting roughly 12psi all the way to redline. It pulls hard right when the primary comes online, then the secondary comes with an extra boost. So everything is great up until about 6500rpm. At that point the power seems to peak. I thought it was ignition related, so i replaced my plugs(which only had 2k on them and when I took them out they were still looking good) with no difference. Im not really getting ignition breakup per say. I have a full free flowing exhaust to my catback. Thats where Im thinking the problem is now. The catback came with the car when I bought it. It seems to be an old HKS canister style, but over time its definetly rotting out. IE holes on the bottom developing and such. What I was thinking was that maybe the exhaust is breaking down and restricting the higher rpms? I dont even know if that possible. It holds 12psi all the way to redline, so its not boost related. Any input would be great.
Oh I should add that I had my car running once before at about this same boost level, but it would pull like a bat out of hell all the way to redline. NO letting up at all. Nothing has changed since then, except the catback rotting out more...
I would think that I would have a really good pull all the way to redline, especially with my large street port...
Well I guess thats all...Thanks.

Baffles in the catback muffler may have come loose and be blocking something - that sort of thing is not uncommon. The external holes themselves would just cause more noise.

Anybody else have any other ideas I might be overlooking?
