Clicking sound from turbos area
Faint clicking sound coming from turbo area, 1993 rx7 stock turbo set up with 76,000k and stock port, + race apex seals and mint housing rebuild with 1,663km.
Noticed it first decelerating around 3k rpm then then the more I was boosting (only boosting .5bar to 4k rpm). It started getting more noticeable and the more I boosted and payed attention to it, I noticed it only did it once I got the turbos hot and once they where hot I could notice it when I was slowly climbing revs and could hear it getting louder. Tonight on my way home after boosting a bit my fatt-x turbo timer which has never gone over 1:45 (min:sec) was reading 2:00 and slowly going up a few seconds every block as I slowly drove home. When I got home I got my girlfriend to rev it to 3k rpm and I didn't see any smoke at all. There was no leaking under the engine or smoke either.
Id like to know what you think is causing this clicking noise. Also I put in new gaskets on the manifold and turbo-to-manifold gaskets and turbo-to-downpipe gasket and exhaust gaskets, maybe they wore in and all need to be tightening? I only started going over 0bar when I reached 1,500k also there was some cracking in my turbo hot side divide that connects to the manifold, I have pics in some of my other threads.

I know you said there was no leaking or smoke, but sounds like an exhaust leak to me.
Or perhaps its just your injectors and your not used to the noise they make..
Is this car new to you?

I bought the car not running with the intention of putting in a rebuilt engine. So I had Rx7 Specialists in Calgary build it and I put it in. I got the old engine running but exhaust was getting into the coolant system, so wile waiting for the new engine I bagged the hell out of it until it wouldn't start

I had a similar issue with my turbos:

Try using a piece of vacuum tubing to listen (one end to your ear) around the area in question while the engine is running. This should narrow things down quite a bit ... assuming that it's an exhaust leak making that sound.
