cigarette lighter not working

the light around it works but the plug doesn't work... fuse not blown. bad plug??

check the 2 wires behind it with multimeter.

No, not really. I didn't ask what cam i need for a rotary.. Yes the wires work, and i know how to use a multimeter..

was just asking in case it was a common problem..like one of those fd tricks or something...

my bad for asking on a simple question on the rx7 forum .

So you have power and ground at the connector behind the cig lighter body? What about when you check the cig lighter socket itself, at the outer metal cylinder and the center pin down inside it?
Are you having a problem with an accessory you are plugging into it?
