Question Chrome or Polish (Flickering Charge Light)

My charge light flicker on last night twice and when I looked at the FC the volts were in the normal range of 13.6-14.0. I was wondering if this is a sign of the alternator going bad, and if so does anyone know where I could get a new CROME one. If I’m going to replace it then I would like to get it now just in case it goes out. My battery is only two months old, but I haven’t driven the car in about a week.

The alt builder I use builds for the sound off cars across the country ,knows his stuff , said chrome alts are a bad idea .Why ,ask him ,I can not argue it My son polishes them .The builder made me a stock one that put out 90 amps at turn on and toped at 150amps .I now have a GM large case with internal fan that is better than that .The brackets and adjuster I made look really good with that alt .Pics to come if I can get Paul to post them .
