Christmas time: suggest mods

I have a late '95 that's in good condition, but pretty soon things will be changing a bit, and I'll need a somewhat more practical car.

But there's no way I'm selling the FD as long as I have two kidneys.

So I've been thinking about taking it off insurance and doing some pretty wild work to it. I haven't really done much in the way of mods, and I'm curious how far, say, $15k can go. (I'm a lonely bachelor with a good job)

This might be fun (spend someone else's money!). Please suggest mods. Generally speaking I'm more interested in AutoX than pure speed. Right now it's about bone stock aside from some exhaust mods.

Thanks

If you want to autocross, the first thing you should do is completely redo the suspension. I'm not sure what you would go with, but redo everything- bushings, mounts, shocks, springs (blah blah blah)...

Have you tried this mod yet? Put a down payment on a nice place in DC.

If you've already done that, then there is just so much you can do with that much $$ that it hurts just thinking about it.

Do all the reliability mods..

Now to the fun mods: Suspension (everything), wheels and tires, Five point harness. Then I would dive into the motor and get a intake, PFC, Boost controller, intercooler, midpipe (assuming you have cat back and DP), upgraded fuel system, turbos, ignition...... and so on.

As far as what exact parts to purchase, start looking around this forum, there is a ton of information on almost every brand of all the parts mentioned above.

Oh yea one more extremely important upgrade if you plan on doing all the work yourself...... Factory Manual

Haha. Thanks guys.

Anyway, the whole story is that I do pretty well for myself and my living costs are very low. I have a good sized place with some of the guys I work with, and I'd go totally insane if I lived alone anyway.

I actually don't live in DC anymore, as I've fully transistioned to Central Jersey for the time being. I'm probably going to end up in Tampa Bay in Q1 2005, but we'll see how that goes.

I was thining about the Suspension quite a bit. I know the RZ uses bilsteins (at least I thought so). I see a lot of fairly expensive Apex'i suspension stuff out there along with some less expensive Tokico stuff. Haven't seen any Bilstein stuff out there. I would really like to upgrade to 17x8.5" wheels a la the RZ as well.
