choking at low rpm
i had a new engine and clutch put in recently, but now at low rpm's or when i come off the gas and then give it a liitle more gas like in traffic or even in 4th gear i get this choking from the engine like a bad stick shift driver would experince in 1st gear. it's not my shifting , but the car is very jerky even in 4th at 40 mph or 2nd at 20 mph. what's going on here? how do i solve it?
thanks
ps does any one know a rx7 specialist in the nj ny area?

Do a search on 3k rpm hesitation
that sounds like what you're experiencing.
at 20mph in 2nd, your rpms would be ~2300
at 40mph in 4th, your rpms would be ~2300
once you step on the gas a little bit you'll be close to hitting 3k rpm. It's a problem inherant to all FD's. ECU issue. Some people have fixed it by putting an additional grounds... usually works...if not, a new ECU usually fixes it.
If it's not 3k rpm hesitation, your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) may be off. If that little screw is off, it can cause the car to buck when you let off or get on the gas.

chking at low rpm
in response to blackr1.....the problem is not the 3000 rpm issue for certain. but where is the tps throttle position sensor. it sounds like that may be an issue.
