Quite a few years ago, a friend of mine took a class for car design. One of the segments featured the guy that designed the FD. These are the drawings that were featured in that particular class. The drawings were done years before the car was actually being manufactured.

He gave me a couple of the photos that he took at that class. I just recently found those photos buried in old paperwork and thought I would share them with the forum members.

See any differences from the concept to what made it to market?

I've got a couple of RX-7 books with these concept drawings. Pretty cool stuff!

 

Yeah that interior picture looks pretty much dead on, except for the rear bins
