check engine light stimulator
I am just about ready to get my 13b-rew swapped FC smog reffed in CA. There is just one CEL code I can't get cleared, the speed sensor.
The FC speed sensor has different output parameters that the FD unit.
So it looks like I will need a CEL stimulator, which is a simple arangment of circuits that turns the cel on and keeps it on untill 3 seconds after the starter signal, in other words normal CEL behavior. Does anyone have a link with which this can be purchased or alternativly plans to build it. I am asking here because there was a thread a while back about this but I can't find it now.
Anyone know if grounding out the neutral sensor switch would keep the speedo code from poping up. as in if the ecu thinks the car is in neutral all the time it should not throw a code for this right?
Oh well the CEL stimulator is probably a good idea, I don't want any codes coming up durring smog and blowing it for me.
Thanks...
