is there a difference between the J-spec fuel mappings and california mappings? The only reason I ask is because we have 91 **** gas with MTBE. is buying one outside of cali going to make a diff? or is it all in the programming?

The Japan commander is in Japanese while the U.S is in English. Not sure if Apexi only sells the U.S version commander to U.S only, but buying from U.S sources is your best bet if anything ever happens to your PFC that arrives defective and you want to have warranty replacement.
Cheap price though.

Power FC
Ones I have seen from Japan for Nissan Silvia and other cars commander language is all in Japanese. Some part of it like the monitor section are still in English, but for the most part the sensor check and alot of features are all listed in Japanese.
Has anyone ever seen a Jspec PFC for FD, if so what's the language display.

I tuned it myself...or had to....luckily some of the guys on the forums helped me out.

I got mine from Japan last month and the display is in English.
The only part that uses Japanese characters is in the ' Original function setting' menu where you turn 'on' or 'off' seqential operation etc. , though i believe this is the same in the US ?
Everything else in in English.

Bigger and better things
Think about this:
does the fact that you save $200 justify the cost of a new motor ?
To me it doesnt. If you buy a cheapie usually they dont even have base maps and your likely to screw **** up... Damnit half the tuners out there dont know what they are doing...
Watch your *** man.. Its not worth a new motor!
