The absolute BEST thing to do is go to http://www.mazdamotorsports.com and sign up for their competition parts program. Just tell them that you're building a car to autocross and they will sign you up immediately to receive parts at wholesale cost. Then, just turn in 2 results minumum from your local autocross in a 12 month period, and you'll be able to stay in the program. Very fast service, and absolutely the lowest prices on parts you'll find.

They do usually have the best price for parts but not always. My AC compresssor new from Mazdacomp was $900 compared to $300 from Ray Crow

I tried the "building a car" routine and they are much more strict than they used to be. I had to provide an SCCA membership# and local club membership to sign up for Mazdacomp.
I just get my stock stuff from Ray - cheap, helpful, and fast.
