Cheap headlight kit...anyone have it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...942253013&rd=1

Found this on ebay, looks like a cheap alternative to expensive light kits. Wondering if anyone bought one and installed it. Quality and fit?

I like how the auction gives you NO info about the kit - installation details, type of lights, etc.

I've seen those on an RX7 before. Made it look like a spider. I didnt like it. In fact, if I recall, the majority of people who have seen this on an FD havent really liked it. Let me see if I can find the thread Im thinking about.

They don't look all that bad. On the other hand, they don't look all that good either.

The lighting performance from those headlights probably leaves something to be desired; I doubt it has a well defined cutoff and good spread of light. Those light assemblies are just too small for a reflector setup and they look very similar to fog lights. Fog lights are inadequate for use as your headlights.

It may be possible to ditch the light assemblies and swap in some Hella projectors or something offering similar performance but I can say with much confidence that the above lights may actually be a downgrade in lighting performance.

Yuck, those look terrible. And you can't expect decent quality lights at that price..

cheap light kit-
i was thinking about making my own. it wouldnt have a curved out piece of plexi, but just flat, and i was thinking about finding some hid's at a junkyard and putting them into a piece of aluminum that i would use as a the 'bucket' *i guess*. bend the metal into a sideways L i guess? i havnt really looked a lot into it, just an idea i was thinking about as i read this.
