changing out the transmission fluid.

Last week I started having problems w/ my manual transmission... I was parking my car downtown, and soon discovered that my tranny had locked up. Fortunately when I had return to my car the transmission was fine, and I was able to drive back home. Unforunately I expience a little stiffness when going through the gears, and I believe this is due to low transmission fluid(I changed it roughly a year ago).

So here's my problem... the bolts indicated in the shop manual as fill are square, and I've managed to strip the main bolt. I can't even use a cresent wrench to remove the damn thing, P-Blaster isn't helping, I can't get any air tools in there, and I'm sort of at an impass. Any suggestions?

I'd like to get my FD running(specially since my 1st gen is reliable in the rain) Thanks in advance.

If I am not mistaken, the square in the center is the same size as a 1/2" drive ratchet without a socket on it. Try this. I used an extension to get into it better on another car.
