Question changing oil...

gettin ready to change the oil for the first time....oil's already drained, do i have to take anything else off to get the filter out? quick replies would be helpful... thanks in advance

well that was a breeze... thanks tom....another quickie...what type of coolant is the best, i've heard good and bad about evans coolant...still need to get some water wetter, prolly flush the coolant out sometime this weekend if i don't have to work.

You should puncture the filter with a screwdriver or something before removing it. Reduces the mess.

As far as coolant, just get ethylene glycol - prestone, whoever.

Evans coolant requires you to remove all traces of water from your cooling system which is very difficult to do without starting off with a new engine/rebuild. I personally haven't experienced the overheating problems that many seem to have so I have no desire to run Evans.
