Just a quick update...I finally got the nuclear reactor that everyone knows and loves off of my car.

I ended up getting a 2" extension for my 1/2" drive socket wrench and SLOWLY applying assloads of torque back and forth on the last stud until it finally broke loose. It made a very loud pop when it finally came loose, and I almost **** myself thinking I'd sheared off the stud in the manifold, but everything was OK. I had one stud where the nut cam off but the stud was stuck in the manifold. I simply tightened the nut back onto the stud as tight as I could get it and then tried to break it loose again. I ended up backing the stud out of it's thread, which made me really happy.

Anyhow, my new O2 sensor got here today, and the downpipe should be here on Monday. I'll drop the tranny tomorrow, and the flywheel should come off next weekend when my 2 1/8" socket gets here from McMaster. Fun times.

I'm just excited, so I thought I'd share.

I beleive you have me confused with Wingsfan. I personally have more experience pulling engines than transmissions, therfore while my engine is out, it will be easier for me to change the clutch, vac lines, and whatever else that needs attention.
