Thumbs up Changed the o2 sensor. Great Gas mileage now

Im getting about 18 mpg City.. with 2 or 3 Hard 80mph run ups. just thought i would share

btw. My o2 sensor wasent showing any signs of failure. then one day i pulled a code 17. Drove like that for a few days and the code never popped back up. Changed the o2 anyway.

I went with the Bosch universal @ autozone for 17 bucks, for those of you that care to know.

question, would this be the case for me as well even if I had removed my air pump along with emissions?

Yes, Even if you remove emission. (Airpump,Cat's,EGR) your FD is still using an o2 sensor to help adjust air fuel mixtures

Do you have to splice the wire ? Or is it a direct plug in ? Got a part # ? Thanks.

^yes, my DP put the sensor RIGHT under the y pipe to the second turbo. So i had to take off the y pipe to get to it... witch sucked. if your sensor is in easy reach, then it should'nt take more then 10 mins.

Not everyone should have to go to the length's that i had to. Like i said before. My Downpipe designers placed the o2 clocked a little to much towards the y pipe, So the only RIGHT way to do it was remove the y-pipe
