changed mstr cylinder...no pedal

ok, so i changed my master cylinder today. put everything back together and now the pedal just goes straight to the floor. does not come back up, and does not build pressure if i try to pump it. i tried bleeding it from the slave, but nothing changes.....any help would be appreciated

have you checked that the pin/push rod is going into the master cyl from the pedal? can you see any leaks? Have you got fluid in the resivour? if you bleed the system is there air coming out through your bleeder? What are you using for a bleeder?
You have to pump the pedal manually, best to have 2 people do it, one pumping the pedal by hand the other checking the bleeder bottle.

How exactly have you done it?

This is how I would do the process.
1. Install the new master cyl, make sure pin is in place.
2. add brake fluid to resivour and release bleed nipple
3. attach rubber hose and bleeder bottle to bleed nipple at the slave cyl end
4. get someone to pump the pedal slowly by hand
5. pump all old fluid out of lines until air comes through
6. check brake fluid level
7. get all air out of line, pump 2 or 3 more times then hold pedal down, tighten bleed nipple.
8. top up brake fluid.
9. Check pedal is working, not too sloppy and you can feel the clutch pressure.

I was just about to say you just needed to bench bleed it too.
