Change cluster backlight color

so yea i was thinking... im kinda getting tired of the amber lights in the cluster, does anybody know how to change them or has anyone done it before? are they colored bulbs or is there a colord tint behind the guage? ive searched around and ive found that people with imprezas and vizs have done it, but nobody with an fd... i thought it would be pretty interesting.

You searched around other boards to see if anyone with an FD has done it? Try searching on this board, keywords such as backlight, cluster, or needles might help. More than a few people with FD's have done this.

there's a layer of tint behind the gauge faces, the bulbs are standard halogen bulbs.

blackcatcustom.com makes custom faces for FD's that a few members on here have..

There was a post some time ago where someone did a step by step on how they removed the cluster and actually sanded down the amber part of the guages so that they lit up white(halogen). The color was sanded away.
