Question By chance, would anyone know who Hayes Rotory uses for shipping their engines ?

Just wondering who handles their shipping. Anyone know by chance ?? I seriously believe they are jerking me around. I've been waiting on my engine which was supposedly shipped weeks ago. Yeah.....yeah.....I know Hayes is CRAP. But this is a warranty job and I will NEVER go with them again once I get this engine. I just need this engine to last me a couple of years then I will get a rebuild by a Real shop. Car is paid off in 8 months so hopefully this engine lasts a bit past that hehe.

There is a Hayes engine crate in Garfinkles shed . I went over there and looked for the tags, one is PILOT AIR FRATE , another was Delta Airlines , A truck delivered it to Gars house. Hayes is very slow but Gar has good luck with them. One warranty job, and they never questioned it. The crate will be used to send back the next motor .Gar will go with them untill they do him wrong. So far they have been very good to deal with but slow with modified motors. the truck company has held things up once in the past.Good luck, waiting is so hard when you wont to ride.

Can you elaborate on the hold up of the truck co. ? I've been getting some wacked out excuses for the delay ! They are also honoring my warranty without question. I just don't believe it's taking the shipping co. this long to get it to me. I think Don just keeps telling me its on its way when they really haven't sent it yet. It's been with them since the beginning of this past summer.

the truck co slowed because of 911 last year. Hayes is slow with modified motors but the price is good and they will give good support, Tell Don to get with it and get a tracking number. Garfinkle told me to type this, I feel your pain waiting for people to do what they say they will do is the pits, be nice and keep calling them.

I know for a fact that DOn is lieing to me. I even asked him straight up if he even sent it off and he still stuck to his story !! Damn........so I ask him for a # to call for the shipping co. along with a tracking #. Number is no good and the shipping co. then tells me that they have only shipped one engine in the past month for Hayes and it wasn't mine. SO, I call Don back and tell him what happened.....he STILL sticks to his story and says he will call the shipping co. C'MON at this point I could care less if he hasn't finished my engine. I just wish he would tell me that instead of having me wait day after day for the engine to arrive. He is literally giving me dates for the engine to arrive and it never does. I feel I have nothing else to tell him. I mean I confronted him about ever sending the engine....and he still sticks to his story. So I guess I'll jus have to play along with his lil game til I get my engine.

I feel for you - When MARIAH sent my engine to HAYES for rebuilding it was 6 weeks from the time they (Hayes) first said it was shipped untill delivery. The Trucking Co invoice showed it was only in their hands like 5-6 days. but all the while Hayes was claiming it had been shipped weeks before.

WOW......now that's what I've been looking for. What kind of excuses were they giving you ? They told me that they attempted delivery and nobody was at the house so they turned it around to ship it back to Hayes without calling anyone or leaving a note showing that they actually did attempt a delivery ! Well, at least you got your engine....that's good to know. BTW, how is it running and how many miles on it now ? Thanks for your post Max !!

I only got the excuses Second Hand - Jim @ Mariah was dealing with Hayes for me.
I got the car back the second week of july 2001 and have put 28k mi. on it since. (yes its my DD & Comuter car) It runs strong w/ no complaints. Other than the fact that the turbos (that I chose not to rebuild) started leaking shoutly thereafter.

Well, it's only been 3 weeks now since they said it was shipped so I'm on schedule for the 6 week delivery like you experienced.....hopefully not longer Thanks again for your replies Max. At least I know I'm not the only one getting bent over by Hayes.
