Actually, the M2 won't fit the crooked willow intake. Duane, the guy from Crooked Willow, told me it wouldn't. I asked when I was potentially interested in buying a crooked willow intercooler. I think the Pettit might fit and I just happen to have one for sale. =)

I personally wouldn't waste my time with a "cold air" intake. I had the crooked willow one and it is a pile of ****. Besides it doesn't even have a fresh air inlet. It's a piece of crap box that barley allows room for the hood to close. The PFS set up is about the only true cold air set up that I have seen. The ebay pipes with some K&N's is a pretty nice set up.

M2 intake is a POS as well

I ordered the M2 intake a year and a half ago from rx7store. Luckily, they are good guys and allowed me to return it without hassle. The mold that the box was laid up on was obviously pretty rough. The aluminum plate was warped because of the extremely poor welding job and the pipes still had the extruding plant's ink markings on them. It looked like something that a high school kid would have been proud of had he made it himself. It sure as hell wasn't worth $500. It was a rough edged, unfinished, piece-o-****. You might as well make your own carbon fiber box, because you could easily make something of higher quality with very little effort.

The CWR IC will work with an M2 box. I have an Aluminum M2 box with CWR IC. The IC is pushed over more to the driver's side. It fits best with a CWR intake box or Petit type set up. The biggest PITA with that IC is making the damn duct fit (ie. relocating everyhting else).

About two years ago I ordered the carbon fiber M2 intake directly from M2. I think it was the last production run they ever did. The quality was actually very nice and it fit perfectly.

I heard some rumors that there were quite a few M2 knock offs being made. Maybe this is what you got?

Check ebay for those pipes or here in the "for sale" areas for a PFS intake. With the PFS intake you really should use the intercooler and duct to gain full use of the cold air duct to the intake. Old school, but still one of the best 3rd gen set ups ever.

Yup, but they are all the same. There might be another company on e-bay making the same pipes, they are all the same.
