sweet deal jason! When's the car gonna be up and running? I think max boost on the stock twins is ~15#

If you're still hell bent on keeping the twins, BATMAN has a nice set up... clipped/ceramic coated stock turbos on a ported motor for 410rwhp

the car will be back in about two weeks...Im having rotary reliability and racing do the engine work...ill be painting the engine bay..polishing the housings etc...I want it to look as good as it can now that it wont be a daily driver...wallet lesson number one.....no daily driver rx...bad for wallet...

anyhow...I may do the clip job...dont know...the turbos are getting rebuilt again for free to get rid of that howling sound so I dont know if Ill be doing that or not.

I thought I read in the racing beat catalog that you shouldn't run ceramic seals in a turbo car because they are too fragile and subject to break.

I've gone 17psi on a stock motor(No porting and No special seals), and stock turbos(as they came from Mazda) with NO problems and dynoed 373 to the wheels with bolt ons. Just my 2cents.

There are a few people I know that are running 19-20 pounds on their stock turbos but they're only running it for a short period of time shooting down the 1/4 mile.

thanks guys....

I appreciate the input.

If you want to know about the ceramic seals vs. everything else do a search...there is an absolutely wonderful thread on the subject.

I went ceramic because Nick at rotary and I discussed what my issues were. The ceramics hold up better under high heat (that describes my car) and the 3mm one piece ceramics are the absolute best for high rpm abuse (that describes my driving on the weekends).

I think that the type of seals you get depend on the way you drive...but the boys in that thread i mentioned are more experienced than I....check it.

Actually, he (BATMAN) told me yesterday that he sent them back because on the dyno his car made less rwhp than it did with the stock twins!!!! He said they have great low end power because they are ball bearing but the hp wasnt there!!!!!

Who knows maybe something else was wrong but I just wanted to say he was sent them back
